Jesse Tree: Day 8

December 9, 2025December 7, 2025 by Brenda

The symbol for this day is a tablet of the ten commandments. Ours is a felt circle with felt tablets glued on. At first glance, it might seem like God broke His promise to the Israelites when He called what appears to be a new group of people “chosen,” “a royal priesthood,” and “a holy … Read more

Jesse Tree: Day 6

December 7, 2025December 6, 2025 by Brenda

The symbol for this day is a ladder. Ours was made with little pieces of wood glued together and then painted brown. See my blog for more ideas. God used an imperfect man, Jacob, to continue the family line of Abraham that would eventually lead to Christ.  Jacob had a dream (Genesis 28:10-16) that God … Read more

Jesse Tree: Day 5

December 3, 2025 by Brenda

The symbol for this day is a lamb. I’ve made two different lamb ornaments. The first one is made with white and black pom poms, and the second is made out of stitched felt. We needed a spotless Lamb to redeem us from our sins. No human traditions could save us. We couldn’t work our … Read more

Jesse Tree: Day 4

December 8, 2025December 2, 2025 by Brenda

The symbol for this day is a camel. Ours was made with different sized brown pom poms. See below for more ideas. This post is longer than my IG and FB posts, because there is so much Scripture that answers questions about these Old Testament promises and what they mean today. You can find a … Read more

Jesse Tree: Day 3

December 7, 2025December 1, 2025 by Brenda

The symbol for this day is an ark and a rainbow. Ours is a frosted white ornament that was painted on one side with an ark, and on the other side with a rainbow. See my site for more ideas. The reading for Day 3 is Genesis 5-6. It’s hard to think about the flood … Read more

Jesse Tree: Day 1

December 7, 2025November 30, 2025 by Brenda

Our symbol for this day is a globe. I painted a clear ornament light blue and then painted imperfect splotches of green land on the earth. See my blog for more ideas. The reading for Day 1 is Genesis 1-2. Most people who have at least a little bit of Bible knowledge can sort of … Read more

Disclaimers

Regarding Health Information:
I'm not a doctor, and I don't have a fancy title. I've got a bachelor's degree in English, a certificate of Nutrition from Nutrition Therapy Association, a bunch of experience with my own health and the health of my kids, and a whole lot of passion about real food and legitimate research and studies. That said, I have to tell you that you should probably consult with your doctor before following any of the advice that I give. Hopefully you've got a really good doctor who believes in real food and who cares about your long-term health! :)

Regarding Affiliate Links:
Also, I have to let you know that I've got affiliate links on this site. If you click on them and buy something, there will be no additional cost to you, but I may make a small percentage. I don't link to products or services that I would not honestly recommend to my friends!

Regarding No Ads:
You may notice that this site does not have a bunch of in-your-face pop up ads and videos on it. Even though this site could make a lot of money that way, I strongly dislike all of those ads! If you appreciate the lack of ads, PLEASE support this site! You can do so by donating below. STAR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
