It is November 1st. There are 23 days until Thanksgiving and 54 days until Christmas. Quick, don’t panic, but:
Do you know what to cook for the
Holidays this year?
You may have cooked Holiday dinners before. You know the staples: mashed potatoes, candied yams, homemade rolls, turkey with gravy. Oops. You’re on the GAPS Diet, though.
Now what do you make??
This is what I was facing last year. We had started GAPS the January before. I was pretty confident cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner with GAPS friendly recipes. But what about those holiday staples?
I started practicing in October. I wrote down all of my recipes, and then I wrote a cookbook so that I could share it with all of you. I labored over this book, and I am hopeful that it will help a lot of people:
A Whole Food Holiday
GAPS & SCD legal recipes for the holidays
In this book, I’ve shared my recipes for turkey, prime rib, ham, butternut squash casserole, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, stuffed mushrooms, salads, dressings, gelatin salads, apple pie, chocolate brownies, dips, hot chocolate, chai, eggnog and more! And it’s all GAPS Legal!!! I love this book!
I love it so much, that I went on to create one more book:
Thanksgiving Leftover Recipes
Again, GAPS and SCD recipes for turkey sandwiches and soups and salads and everything yummy that you expect to eat the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas.
This holiday season, it is our goal to bless others as much as we can.
When you purchase either of these 2 books in November or December 2011, 40% of the profit will go towards supporting the farm of a family in need through Samaratin’s Purse.
Have you seen this lovely gift catalog? Look at it in full-screen if you can.
Our goal is to purchase a whole ton of livestock for people in need. Wouldn’t that just be SO COOL?!?! Join us!
