Choose one or two books from the list below for whole-family or independent reading, if you’d like to cover this subject.

Claritas publishing memory work covers physics in Cycle 4, so I’ve scheduled several options for families to cover this subject.
Form 2+ (or whole family read aloud)

DK: Force & Motion
This book is scheduled at a pace of two to four pages per week.

Exploring Creation with Chemistry & Physics by Jeannie Fulbright
The chemistry lessons in this book are scheduled in Cycle 3, and the physics lessons are scheduled in Cycle 4, at a pace of five or six pages per week from Week 1 through Week 24.

The Good and the Beautiful: Motion and Simple Machines
This book is scheduled at a pace of one lesson per week from Week 1 through Week 12, and is followed by Wonders of Energy. Note that The Good and the Beautiful is a Mormon company.

The Good and the Beautiful: Wonders of Energy
This book is scheduled at a pace of one lesson per week from Week 13 through Week 26.

The Way Things Work by David Macaulay
If you want to get through this entire (thick) book in one school year, follow the schedule provided, at a pace of ten to fourteen pages per week. This could be an independent reader for a Form 3, 4 or even a Form 5 student. I almost placed this book under Form 3, and perhaps it is better suited for these students, but some Form 2 students may have a deep interest in these subjects, too.
If you feel like the reading schedule is too much for your family, this would also be a great book to keep on the coffee table or in a basket, allowing your kids to grab it and look through the pages they are interested in. There is much to learn in this book!!

This book is scheduled at a pace of one to two lessons per week for all twenty-eight weeks.
